Woocommerce SEO checklist

WooCommerce sits on WordPress, so a store inherits both a flexible platform and a set of defaults that were never designed for selling. Use this list on a new store before products are indexed, or on an existing one where category pages are slow and product markup is missing. It runs from permalinks and archives through to caching, sitemaps and filter URLs.

Questions

The one you can keep. A short product base with no category nesting keeps addresses stable and shallow, and stability matters more than the exact structure you pick.

Something has to output titles, meta descriptions, sitemaps and product schema, and WordPress alone does not. A plugin covers it as long as you check the product markup it emits.

Usually uncached dynamic pages, oversized images and too many active plugins. Measure server response time on a category page first, then work on the front end.
