CBD is the one category in health where the usual growth plan does not apply, because the two largest advertising channels are mostly closed to you. Google restricts CBD advertising to certified advertisers, specific product types and specific locations, and the rules change. Meta permits some topical hemp products with prior written permission and does not permit ingestibles. Merchant Center treats CBD as restricted, and anything written a year ago is probably out of date.
So growth here comes from what you own: search results, batch level trust, email and SMS lists you control, repeat customers, and a checkout that works with the payment and shipping constraints of the category.
We work with CBD brands already selling online, across oils, topicals, capsules, gummies and pet ranges. The free written growth plan tells you which of the four numbers is holding you back and what we would change first, for a base fee plus growth share, month to month. We check current platform policy before recommending any paid spend, because a stale assumption in this category costs an account rather than a campaign.
A CBD buyer has usually been burned or has read that many people have been, so they arrive sceptical and they check things in a fixed order.
First is the certificate of analysis, and specifically whether it matches the bottle in their hand. A generic lab report linked from the footer is worth very little. A batch number on the label that pulls up the report for that batch is worth a great deal, and shoppers will type the batch code in to test whether the system is real.
Second is the milligram arithmetic. Total cannabinoid content in the bottle, content per serving, bottle volume and the number of servings. Experienced buyers compare cost per milligram across stores, so if you make them calculate it they will do it on someone else's page.
Third is the spectrum question. Full spectrum, broad spectrum or isolate changes what a buyer will accept, and anyone who is drug tested at work needs the trace content answered directly rather than implied.
Then come the practical constraints: whether you ship to their state or country at all, whether age verification will be awkward, and what the return policy is on an opened bottle. Getting a clear answer to all five without contacting anyone is rare enough in this category that it becomes the reason to buy from you.
